Three Health Apps You Can Use Everyday
So, I don’t know about you, but for four years now, I have really paid attention to what’s in our food and our cleaning supplies. While moderation is probably key to using bleach...there is always a better choice. But whether it’s bleach or a multi-surface cleaner, it’s always a good idea to see what is in our products that we keep in our home. Our skin, eyes, and bodies are so important. We only have one body, so let’s treat it well.
Think Dirty App
Think Dirty is an app where you can scan any product that has to do with cleaning, air freshening or even personal care like makeup or deodorant. Even vitamins! You can scan any of those in that category and it will come up with what score it has and what toxic ingredient is in it.
For instance, a 0-3 score is awesome and means it’s clean. It doesn’t have any chemicals that would impact your health in them. Some products that score in this range are Seventh Generation sprays, their chlorine free bleach, and Dr. Bronner’s Castile Soap. A 4-7 score means the ingredients have potential long-term health effects that are moderate. Some products that score in this range are Baby Dove Lotion Sensitive moisture (fragrance free) and Mrs. Meyers dish soap. And an 8-10 score means the ingredients have a potentially negative and SERIOUS long-term health effect on your body. Some products that score in this range are Ever Spring Liquid Dish Soap and Herbal Essences Bee Strong Shampoo.
This app helps you distinguish between toxic ingredients and safer ingredients. It can help when you are switching your cleaning supplies. When you are in Target or Walmart and you just don’t know what to get because you don’t understand all that gibberish on the back, then pull out your phone and pull up the Think Dirty app. It’s useful and easy to use.

Lifesum is a Diet & Macro Tracker. It’s a free app to use, but there are a few things that will cost you money on this app. It’s all for your health if you would like to do it anyway.
Subscriptions are available if you want to expand your use in the app. When you go with a basic plan, you are only able to use the food and exercise diary, but with Premium, it’s the diary and also macro and net carb tracking, and diet plans and recipes. You can also save unlimited meals, have Life Score nutrition insights, easy sync with health apps, and body composition tracking.
If you want to just track your food and how you’re exercising, then going with the basics is great! But when you upgrade, you get those awesome recipes and meal plans. You also take a test to see what plans are best for you.
Drink Water Reminder and Tracker App
This app is a reminder and a tracker. When you first open the app, you can set everything up according to your life and how much you weigh. Then, you’ll see a water bottle come up. It’s measured out by how much you have drank that day and how much more you need to drink. You can move the bar up or down depending on what you did.
You can also win awards for your water drinking achievements. There is a calendar to show you your history of what you drank the week before or the day before. You can also go back and change the settings, and see your history and your achievements.
There are also alerts you set up that will alert you when it’s water time. It also syncs with the health app on your iPhone. It’s a cool app to use because it can be hard to remember to drink water everyday or the right amount.
There are more health apps out there, but this past month, I have discovered these, and I just couldn’t keep them to myself. Remember to check your cleaning products for toxic ingredients, track your food and exercise, and drink that water.
