Wake Up, Coffee, Lunchbox
You know how it goes…you wake up, have your coffee, get the kids up and dressed, and you realize, “Oh my gosh, I forgot to pack lunches!”
Since they eat a lot, we would like the snacks and lunches to be somewhat healthy. Also the food should be without lots of sugar and not-so-great ingredients. At school, there are treats given to them for different reasons, and while we want them to eat fun things sometimes, too much can be bad for their diet. It’s not all about the kids though.
Moms and dads must eat right, too. We must survive life so we can stay up with our kids and feed them every five seconds.
So, for kids, I like to ask them in the grocery store what they want. I show them different things and get their preferred food. It’s usually gummies and unicorn cereal...but I’ve found that they love the healthier stuff too. So, each week they can choose one thing that’s not so healthy.
I can be fun too ya know!
Bentgo and Yumbox are very convenient. Whether you get the three compartment or the six, they have wonderful boxes for their lunches. Adults can use these too because they have a lot of room. Yumbox has a code that is good until the end of the year, so go scoop one up and put in TRY20 when you checkout.

These meal prep containers from Target are $9.99 for a 10 ct., and I have them and boy are they easy to use! Whether you’re putting leftovers in and some veggies, or maybe you made a sandwich with chips, these are really lunch friendly. They make other sizes and you’ll be set for lunch at work, the park, eating alone in your car because you just needed 10 minutes of silence, etc. They are my favorite color also!

It can be hard figuring out what to feed yourself when your life revolves around your kids so much and even harder for your kids because they can be picky.
I would transition slowly with any kid to make healthier choices. How they feel and how you feel is so important. Food is our medicine, so let's prescribe ourselves the good stuff.
